The Alberta Conservation Association is targeting 15 lakes across the province for its aeration program this winter. I sit down with Todd Zimmerling, CEO and President of the ACA, for a conversation about why we need a program like this.

One of the inherent dangers of surface aeration is the fact that open water is maintained throughout the winter months. Ice conditions can be very thin around the outer edges of the aeration process. Keeping snow machines and ATVs out of the general area is probably a good idea.
