Being moored in the narrow bay of Cabbage and Tumbo Island gives one the feeling of what it might be like to be perched on a cliff over-looking a vertical drop of thousands of feet. While snug in the bay during low tide the shores of Tumbo Island wrap around you providing shelter. Yet at high tide much of the protection disappears and nothing but a vast expanse of water can be seen as you gaze out into Georgia Straight and beyond.
